No one requested this one, but I ended up watching the pilot over the other day and was filled with an overwhelming rush of fondness for pilot!Mal. You makes the best faces, Nathan Fillion! And look, the lighting wasn't always crappy...just most of the time! I love that first cap because the helmet makes him look like Mickey Mouse.

When I first watched the show, after I got over the "hey, it's the girl from Space Cases!" thing, I shipped Mal and Kaylee for like a second before I realized that they had a massive brother-sister relationship that SHOULD NOT BE ROMANTICALLY SHIPPED EVER, EW. She's like his little sister and not in the sib!yay way! I kind of love how gruff, cranky Captain Tightpants has this very obvious soft spot for Kaylee that leads to him doing things like buying her ugly dresses that make her look like Little Bo Peep because she has no sense of fashion. She calls him out on being a jerk and he can't threaten to toss her off the ship because he loves her and because the ship would totally break down without her ability to keep things glued together way past their expiration date! Plus, how could you not love their interaction together when Kaylee pimps Mal/Inara to Mal every chance that she gets?

Bitchfaces: gotta love them. This is by no means all-inclusive. This isn't even all-inclusive for the teen subset genre! It's more like a mix of the first bitchfaces that popped into my mind, hence the randomness (Roswell WTF?). Heathers is basically ALL bitchface and accidentally killing your best friend and awesomeness! I should've just capped that movie for this prompt and called it a day. From the top, we've got:

Patrick Verona, 10 Things I Hate About You

I didn't even have to think twice when I read the prompt to picspam my favorite Heath Ledger scene. Could there really be any other? (I might have contemplate picspamming the scene where Kat finds out about the bet because the framing is pretty.) Oh, it was so cheesy but it was also so great! He got the school band involved and everything! Who didn't want the bad boy to serenade them during gym class afterwards? Plus, it led to that hilarious scene with Kat flashing the coach to get him out of detention so they could go paintballing! I love everything those two chose to be! The closest will ever get to a scene like this now is if Mike Chang asks Brit to be his date to prom with a song during cheerios practice on Glee or something to that effect. For the record, I'd be totally fine with a big cheesy serenade that involved one of the cool kids making a fool of himself in front of the entire school for love instead of just in front of the other glee kids. Here's looking at you, Puck! Come on, show! Don't let me down!

Eben and Stella Oleson, 30 Days of Night

I watched this movie over the summer when there was nothing on, but I didn't like it very much. Too much gore and too many zombiesque vampires. They freaked me out, dude! Especially that one chick with the super-angular face! I prefer my vampires to be hot brooders with doomed relationship potential (ew, Lisa Frank glitter lovers need not apply). I sort of wanted Josh Hartnett and Melissa George to make out more. Remember when she played Lauren on Alias and everyone hated her because she was a roadblock to the extremely boring Syd/Vaughn relationship? Dude, I loved her because it spared us from having to watch those two together! Of course, it just resulted in them mooning over each other from afar, which was even more annoying. But then Lauren started wearing copious amounts of evil eyeliner and I thought that since she was a double agent and all, she should just start sleeping with Sark and then she did and it was AWESOME until she, y'know, kicked it. Thank you, Lauren Reed, for introducing the concept of anvilicious evil eyeliner to the universe! This movie could've used more evil eyeliner, that's for sure. I think the end with Stella looking hella pissed was supposed to scream sequel, but meh I still don't care.

YAY! Thank you! I love every single picture you chose for the Mal/Kaylee mini-spam, and I had fun looking at the others as well, especially the bitchface!spam. Do you not watch Supernatural, though? Because Sam Winchester makes the BEST bitchfaces. Him and Kurt Hummel, of course.

Okay, so I wanted to quote one line, but I kept nodding my head through all of this, so yeah. ITA WITH ALL OF THIS. I shipped Mal and Kaylee for an instant, too, before settling in for brother-sister love. Non-incestuous, of course, because you can never trust this show with brother-sister relationships. My favourite moment is probably the "I love my Captain" one, followed closely by the conversation they have in the infirmary after Kaylee's been shot and then patched up by Simon. It really shows the amount of care and concern Mal has for Kaylee, and the absolute trust and affection Kaylee places in Mal. I just love these two together. <3 Thank you once again!

I tried watching Supernatural one summer. I got through the first few episodes, but didn't like it so I stopped. It's not my thing.

Oooh, this is such a fantastic entry! All the mini-spams! The bitchfaces! Including Veronica Mars (I'm in the midst of a VMars marathon)! The classic bitches! 10 Things I hate about you! And I actually really liked 30 Days of Night, and all the dirty zombie vampires. For me it was a nice change from pretty vampires.
